The Winter Harvest:

Country Weekends in The Granite Belt

Multiple dates in July 2027

An outdoor patio with a wooden table and two barrel-shaped stools. Behind the table, a leafless tree with small budding leaves. To the left, a bush. In the background, green fields and distant hills under a partly cloudy sky.
A gloved hand holding a small, round mushroom with a textured cap outdoors, with blurred wood and grass in the background.

Winter in Queensland’s Wine Country.

A woman wearing a striped shirt and white apron is kneading dough on a kitchen counter, with baking ingredients and utensils around her. In the background, a man in a green shirt and white apron is working at the stove in a cozy, well-organized kitchen.
A bowl of yogurt topped with chopped nuts, two slices of toasted bread with melted cheese, a glass of water, a beige checkered cloth, and a piece of bread on a wooden surface.
A gray and white horse grazing in a grassy field with a barbed wire fence in the foreground, a barn, and trees under a partly cloudy sky.
A plastic container holding three heirloom tomatoes, a yellow apple, and a wicker basket filled with more apples. Other jars and containers are visible nearby.

A cosy long weekend winter gathering in the countryside, centred around seasonal produce, fireside evenings, and the simple joy of cooking, eating, and connecting together.

Meet your host, Grace

Grace Donnell is the founder and host of Seasons to Gather.
After more than 15 years in the fast-paced world of aviation, Grace traded corporate life for something slower, more grounded — and never looked back. Over the past few summers, she has lived in Sicily with her family, travelling the island deeply and immersing herself in local life, food traditions, and regional culture.
Living between Australia and Italy, Grace brings la dolce vita into everything she creates — from her love of seasonal cooking and farm-to-table experiences to her belief in travel as a way to reconnect with ourselves and others.
A girl mum, a devoted notebook collector, and a growing Italian speaker, Grace hosts with warmth, curiosity, and care. Her retreats are shaped by personal relationships with local producers, chefs, and artisans — and by a desire to offer experiences that feel genuine, generous, and deeply human.
